Billie Elish's lyrics, from her Barbie song What Was I Made For,  "I used to float, now I just fall down, I used to know, but I'm not sure now" perfectly sum up my feelings when I look at this painting!  It takes me back to when I was leaving home - starting that exciting and scary journey to adulthood.  Here my daughter Lily is on the cusp of that same journey - and Dug and Polo watch on thoughtfully as if they sense that times are changing. If you are a parent at the same life stage - please listen to Billie's song - it will make you cry!! Times are changing.

Other info: This work is painted on a professionally prepared board, sealed on all sides with Landridge clear gesso. It is ready to hang.
