Like Barbie World my girls are growing up in a beautiful place sheltered as much as possible from the harsh realities of the real world!  Parents do this - I grew up like this! When I moved to live with my grandmother to start university more than 1000 kilometers away from my family, watching the 6pm news every night traumatized me!!  I think the double whammy of leaving my childhood home, where the real world was "filtered" out, and also moving from a small town to the "big city" was a bit like Barbie leaving barbie world and arriving in Los Angeles!

Other info: This work is painted on a professionally prepared board, sealed on all sides with Landridge clear gesso. It is ready to hang.
